Referral Codes - Limited Time Specials

Here's how to create your first limited-use Referral Code:

  1. Go into your Marketing tab and choose Referral Codes from the left sidebar.
  2. Click "Add Referral Code" from the left sidebar.
  3. You'll notice that we generate a referral code automatically, but you can change it by overwriting the Referral Code field. That code is what you can give to your clients, and we include a handy email link below for sending directly to individuals. If you're sending via email or the web or social media, a web link is also created in the box below the code, ready to copy & paste.
  4. Choose the type of code, whether Percentage Discount or Dollar Amount, and then type in the appropriate discount in the field.
  5. Type in how many you will allow to be purchased. For single-use to a particular client, set this to 1. Use your imagination to decide how you'd like to use this code.
  6. Choose your date to end the code (it starts "now") by typing in the date, or using the pop-up calendar
  7. Enter notes if you need to remember why you created this Referral Code.
  8. In this case, we're going to discount dollar GCs by $10, as you'll see:

Distribute the code in any number of ways - cards at your front desk, sending an email using the "Generate Email" button, flyers you drop into purchase bags, your Twitter account - any way you'd like! Be creative and have fun with the codes. You could even link to it on your website, giving the perk to anyone who visits your site often.

    If you'd like to send it to one or two or more chosen clients, immediately send an email using your built-in email program by clicking on Generate Email, and a new message will pop up, like this:

What Your Client Sees When Using Referral Codes

With the referral code link, when they click on the link it will send them directly to your IGC page, ready for them to choose their referral code:

(With the code only, the purchaser will be prompted for their code on the 3rd screen in the checkout process)

Just before they complete their order, they'll see the confirmation of the code again:

Now, remember that we set up the code to only be used twice?

When your purchaser puts in a code that has reached the limit, they will see this:

Notes About Purchase Options

  1. Tax, if you add tax to your GC purchases, will be calculated on the discounted price (which is the price paid).
  2. Gratuity, if you feature that option, will be calculated on the NON-discounted price (so that your therapists get their correct tip).
  3. Mail delivery option fees are assessed as normally configured.
  4. The IGC after purchase - just like with any other special - shows only the full value or name of the service to the recipient.
